Same flower and setup (70-300mm + 80mm) but now with the zoom lens at 300mm... spectacular view of the inner heart of the flower!

  • Flower taken with D80 camera and 60mm f2.8 at minimal focus range
  • Same flower, same camera but zoom lens 70-300 f4-5.6 and 80mm Nikkor micro f4<br /> The vignette is cause by the choice of using the 70mm position on the zoom lens.
  • Same flower and setup (70-300mm + 80mm) but now with the zoom lens at 300mm... spectacular view of the inner heart of the flower!
  • The setup with the D-80 and the zoom 70-300 + 80mm f4. Important is that the normal attached lens can be a zoom lens, the second must be a fixed length lens with the diaphragm wide open (1.8/2.8/4).
  • The 70-300mm lens gives serious vignetting at the 70mm position
  • At the 300mm position vignetting is almost nil...
